Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Installation - 2020 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross

Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Draw-tite trailer hitch receiver here on our 2020 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross. So here's what our trailer hitch looks like installed. Now, this one does have a visible cross tube, but that's okay. Everything has a nice durable black powder coated finish which is gonna help it blend in with the underside of the vehicle well. It's also gonna help protect our hitch from rust being that it is on the under side of the vehicle, therefore more subjected to the elements. So adding a trailer hitch to your eclipse cross is gonna be an excellent idea because it's gonna make your vehicle that much more versatile. more

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today, we have a 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport and we're gonna be showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Class III, two-inch trailer hitch receiver. But before we do that, why don't we check it out and make sure that this is the right hitch for you. So my first impression of the hitch; even though it is for the most part, completely visible, I don't think it looks too bad. It does do a decent job of kind of blending in. And I do think it's gonna work out well regardless on what you plan on doing with it. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, we're gonna be showing you how to install the Curt Class III two-inch trailer hitch receiver. But before we do that, why don't we check it out and make sure that it's something that's gonna work for you So my first impression of the hitch on the back of the Mitsubishi is I think it looks really good, actually, even though it is for the most part, completely visible. You know, it does sit up nice and tight against the bottom of it and does a really good job of blending in and that's not always the case with hitches that are visible, but on the Outlander, I think it kind of adds to that sporty and outdoorsy look. So I do see some of our Outlander Sport customers using their hitches to do some towing, but the majority of them, generally speaking, really just plan on using hitch-mounted accessories like a bike rack or a cargo carrier. And I think this hitch will work out well regardless on what you're doing. more

So if we're towing a trailer, we're gonna need a wiring harness as well. And this included mounting bracket here is gonna be an excellent option to mount your trailer connector to. more

As you can see, we've got our crosstube. It's going to come over and meet here at our receiver tube opening. It's not symmetrical so we're going to have the crosstube a little bit longer on that side than this side. That's to allow for our exhaust, and our exhaust to come out without any kind of interference. Now this is a class 3 hitch so this is going to be an extremely versatile hitch. more

Next, what we are going to do is put a strap around the exhaust to keep it from falling down too fast. We will start taking off the exhaust hangers. We are going to actually use a pry bar to remove the muffler hangers. Now we got our hangers loose we can go ahead and lower the exhaust and with this strap you can control its decent. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Sport

Today we are going to install part number 13223 from Curt, and we are going to install this on a 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Sport. We will show you where the hitch mounts up on the frame. It reuses these existing holes where these bolts are right now. This tie-down hook actually gets taken off the vehicle and left off, and it is going to be the same thing on the passengers side, where this tie-down loop will get taken off as well. And these pieces will stay off the vehicle. Also, we did take down the spare tire, just to get a little easier working room, and the spare tire will go back up in its place when we are done. All right, when you take this down, there is a threaded fitting here which the hitch uses, too. We are going to take some time here and actually clean that out really good. Spray it down with some lubricant and run the bolt in and out. Sometimes, in an aged vehicle, you may have to run a tap through it to clean it out. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor- Video

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor

Today we are going to be installing part number 75163 by Draw-Tite on a 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor. We are underneath the vehicle now, and we are looking at the drivers side frame rail over here. The mounting location for the hitch on the drivers side is going to be the two weld nuts here at the base of the frame and then the two weld nuts here on the side of the frame, as well. On models that have seen at least one winter, a lot of times there is some corrosion built up in these weld nuts. So it is a good idea to go ahead and lubricate those first with a spray lubricant like WD-40 to kind of loosen up the rust and make it a little easier to get the bolts in there. So I am going to go ahead and do that on both sides of the vehicle. more
